Wollongongs originate from the Illawarra escarpment in the city of Wollongong, Australia (just outside of Sydney). We’ve named our isolated Wollongong genetics, Wollongong Woolies after the famous Woolworth’s chain of stores that were founded in Australia in 1924. Legend has it, some staff that work of Woolworth’s stores would pick and consume Wollongong magic mushrooms on their way to work, making their work days much more enjoyable, to say the least!

An Aggressive Magic Mushroom

If you’re looking for a psilocybe cubensis magic mushroom with a bit more potency than your average cubensis shroom, then Wollongong Woolies are for you! Wollongong is not you’re run of the mill Psilocybe cubensis magic mushroom, it tends to be a bit more potent and a much more aggressive colonizer. Wollongong magic mushrooms have some unique characteristics, a creamy gold colour of a spotted cap and stalks that are completely gold coloured. This powerful mushroom grows in the wild in the Illawarra escarpment mountain range west of a narrow coastal plain south of Sydney, Australia, enclosing the region known as the Illawarra. The hills of the plateau reach over 400 meters and may drop abruptly to the coast. The escarpment contains a wide variety of flora and fauna and is a haven for many forms of wildlife.
